Bengals Out Henry

The now former Cincinnati Bengal Chris Henry was released from jail on Friday. He is being accused of punching an 18 year old in the face and breaking his car window with a beer bottle Monday night. The Cincinnati Bengals released Chris Henry last Thursday, which came a few hours before he was arraigned on charges of assault and criminal damaging.  His attorney has entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. With five previous arrests since 2005, he can chalk up another one to make it six. He was suspended for the first half of last season for the five prior arrests. This doesn’t come as a surprise that the Bengals cut him, which because of the most recent arrest will likely cause him to be suspended for the 2008 season if he is found guilty. The possible replacement could Antonio Chatman who would take over the third wide receiver position. If this is not who they choose to go with, they could try and pick up a wide receiver in this year’s draft.
